Everything! Our room The Plunge was enormous. The Lodge is in a great and quiet location, walking distance to bars, restaurants and the gorgeous beach near The Del. Breakfast was delicious and the staff super friendly. Great place!

As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
I was travelling with my nieces and this. was a very child friendly hotel, the pool has slides, and a free "kids bar", there is an area to play games like ping pong and giant jenga and a stand for shaved ice and ice cream. Being on the bay us great we kayaked and did stand up paddle board every day.
We booked the suite room and it was exactly what we needed and wanted. The space was big, clean, modern, has a fully functional kitchen, hotel facilities were great, safe location, little Italy and the trolley station were only a few minutes walk, near the airport, downtown San Diego, and seaport village, family friendly place. We will book here again when we come back to San Diego.
We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Villa Inn. Very friendly staff that make you feel right at home. We loved the family-friendly environment, kids, dogs, and the ocean right at your doorstep. I would definitely stay there again if ever in the area.
The resort location was excellent, the area of bay immediately outside the property was perfect for families with children. They also had several activities that the kids enjoyed i.e. movie night, crafts, daily "meet the parrots". The pool area was great too. When we did have meals at the resort we were always seated straight away, they offered a children's menu and the Morays bar will make a "Shirley Temple" for kids at request.
This is great for family vacations. It has multiple pools so it never felt crowded. The breakfast at Barefoot on the Beach was terrific. Although we did not take advantage of it, I saw other families enjoying the bonfire pits on the sand at the bay. We definitely intend to do that on our next visit. The staff was very friendly - front desk; cleaning; maintenance; restaurant - everyone said hello and was accommodating.
The breakfast @ the Red Marlin was amazing. The pools and slides were fantastic! Your valet and bell staff were excellent! The pelican food and drinks were outstanding. The activities were so much fun for our kids. Very family friendly!!!
Nice location just in the heart of Little Italy, full of restaurants, bars, shops next too. You don't need to check other district you have everything you need here.:-) It's very animated night life, music, people. The location is much cleaner and more confortable than Gaslamp, but still is a lot of fun, but more family style with dogs and kids.
You can walk to the ancient boats from the hotel. Hotel is very cosy with a nice patio. Price was good. There is a coffee bar just in the hotel. Nice view from the window.
Loved the comfort and coziness, and the fact that the hotel in placed in La Jolla. We loved the swimming pool, including the surprise to find 2 available swim instructors for our kid in there, we loved the Happy Hour and the family friendly atmosphere loved the lobby and the facilities.
