Offering lake views, Manyara's Secret in Mto wa Mbu offers accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge.

We have spent two nights and a full day at the hotel to make sure we fully enjoyed all it has to offer: - The style of the buildings and decoration are wonderfully tasteful, very comfortable and match well with the natural environment - The food was delicious, with a menu à la carte. Great breakfast as well. When we were the only guests to have lunch, the chef composed our menu with us - The view on the lake and the environment are amazing. We did a nice walk along the lake and saw some animals like impalas, monkeys, birds etc. We even saw a big group of wildebeests just passing down our plunge pool! - I have to finish with what impressed us the most, which was the staff, always nearby but discreet, ready to answer all needs of the guests, they always made sure we were comfortable. On our last day, we had to get up and leave very early, everybody was on deck for check out and to pack us breakfast for the road Thank you to all the Manyara’s Secret team, we will keep great memories thanks to you

The chef was world class. Every dish was excellent. The entire staff was wonderful. My friend and I stayed three nights and the staff learned our names, reached out to us to see when we would be at meals, escorted us to our room after dark, etc. The room was beautiful. The property was beautiful. In short, I would return to Tanzania just to stay at this lodge.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for finding this location along my journey. I BOOKED FOR 2 NIGHTS BUT ENDED UP STAYING ALMOST A MONTH. The hostel is located on the edge of Manyara national park, basically the entry to the wilderness (how lucky can one be?!)🫶🏻🍀💚. When I got out of hectic Arusha, I was desperately seeking for a green and chill stay, far from bustling or too touristy places. I was welcomed by the lovely staff, Diana, Neema and Dattomax J. The moment I met them I realized the experience will be personal. I told them I wish for a local experience and visit particular tribes in the surrounding. Not only that I was given a great price (compared to the unreasonable prices some hostels give in Arusha), Dattomax has arranged my tours the nights before. Absolutely last minute requests from my side but all was realized absolutely professional. Through the staff I had the opportunity to learn a huge scope of information about the culture, more specifically: family manners & values, politics, farming, cooking and music. Throughout my stay I had over plenty different activities covered: PRIVATE TRIBE VISITS (hadzabe, datoga, masaii), GREEN PROJECTS (visit to different contemporary and traditional painters, school visits), SAFARIS (arranged for next day incl. Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro), FOOD AND FABRIC MARKETS (later visited a local tailor which was also a beautiful experience), WATERFALLS & SECRET VIEWPOINTS. And let's just include activites as Coca moto (setting fire in the garden of Ava), night outs and all the deep talks. The food catered was breakfast included: always fresh fruits, vegetables, local bites and Diana's infamous sweet pancakes. 🥞 ❤️ (lunch and dinner was also possible). The beds were super comfy, all equipped bathrooms with HOT SHOWERS ALL TIMES!! Which is super rare for hostels in Africa. My eternal gratitude for everything.

Spacious house in a great location for visiting several national parks. The facilities are basic but provide everything you need to self-cater with friendly assistance from the host who lives next door. They can arrange to do your washing or have meals cooked for you if required. All in all highly recommended for families or groups travelling independently and looking for authentic, value-for-money accommodation with plenty of outside space.

One is in the middle of the park and can observe zebras, monkeys and gnus from very close. The tent gives a real camping feeling, but is super comfortable and clean. One hears the noises of the animals in the night. Perfect for families as kids live seeing the animals and going for a swim after a long day in the car. The food is good.

We had 11 great days at the resort and we loved everyday. The staff is amazing and it feels like family. We went on two safaris while we where there, and the staff is very nice to help you with the organizing. While eating breakfast or laying at the pool you are accompanied by zebras, monkeys and wilderness beats. if you are lucky you can also see hippos coming up from the lake at night! we saw them twice and it was amazing. We would definitely recommend to everyone and we really hope to come back!! Also very nice food!!

The property was spacious and despite having many guests first night, it didn't feel crowded. The family comfort tent we had as family of 4 was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was huge and well equipped. Staff were really lovely. Our waiter was Mathias and he was such a nice, kind and helpful man. There were plenty of zebras and wildebeest around the properly and last night even a hypo came to say hello as we were enjoying late night drinks at the pool. That was magical.

Beautiful camp just outside of Mto Wa Mbu. Spacious tents (I stayed at the comfort tent) with comfortable beds, shower and toilet. Very friendly personnel who make you feel part of the “family”. Great food at the restaurant. Lots of animals in the garden; monkeys, zebras, wildebeest and sometimes even hippos at night. Guards walk you up and down in the evening for safety. As the camp is in a wildlife area a TAWA permit is required. The camp can organize this. Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back.

This place is really special. You see zebras right in front of your tent! The family tent we had, was amazing! It was more beautiful than the usual hotel rooms. The staff super nice and the restaurant really pretty. We loved the excitement of looking for hippo that comes out at night, but didn't see him unfortunately... The surroundings are amazing, you have a big swimming pool, bar, fitnes, fire place, just amazing...We would definitely stay here again! Great thanks from Tina and family from Slovenia
