My room was clean and comfortable with a fan as well as AC. I could also open the windows (without the AC, of course) to let in the ocean breeze and hear the surf at night. A small grocery store a short walk away sells beer, milk, tea etc. The resort has a restaurant and several other restaurants and stores are a short walk in town.

We didn't like the room we received at check-in, we reported this. Arrangements were made immediately and we were given another room. Our room was checked and cleaned every day. Service was exceptional. As a female solo traveller I would say Sint Maarten is the place to go and Commodore Suites is the place to stay. Farida and the rest of the crew there were amazing. Best advice and so close to the beach ⛱️. Karaoke on Tuesday and Thursday at the Hilton nearby. On the main street for all types of food and experiences. To say I am coming back doesn't even say it all. The experience almost makes you want to get a remote job and live there. Free drinks mixed by Farida.....new mixes and real fun. TV had all the apps you needed on vacation for viewing fun. Comfy bed, great shower and the ability to wash and dry my clothes before coming back home was priceless. Missing something? There is a grocery with EVERYTHING right downstairs. Want a great view in a hot tub? Go upstairs. Want to eat out? Take a 2-5 minute walk. There is also delivery. My introduction to the country could not have been better.
