The city of Štaniel si beautyful, i definitely recommend spending sime time around. Room was nice and modern, quite well equiped. The outdoor seating area was also very nice and comfy. Breakfast was super tasty.

The villa is just perfect, with every detail thoughtfully considered, as well as the entire house was immaculately clean.
Our favourite part was the kitchen with the dining area but the beds were also incredibly confortable.
Every person had their own space to retreat to in peace.

Beautiful location in the village of Slap surrounded by vineyards. Staff were excellent and extremely warm and welcoming. We had a wine tasting accompanied by a lovely charcuterie board which was really good.

This is such an amazing retreat for a little bit of relaxation! We were lucky with the weather and were able to spend an hour by the pool. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but we were still able to do a wine tasting which was great (20 euros for 5 wines and a meat board). The room was great and we spent a very restful evening enjoying the view from the balcony. The tea/coffee facilities were especially welcomed!We'd love to come back and spend some more time here!

This little house is a dream, with views of vineyards at the back, and situated in a peaceful village. It's very well equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a short or a long stay.
You will need a car if you stay here - it's a 10 minute drive to the nearest shops etcetera. But that is a perfectly OK trade-off for peace and tranquility, I would say.
Ksenija was a perfect host, communicating swiftly and super responsive when I had a minor issue that needed attention.

I absolutely loved my stay at Marija's place. The couple's exceptional warmth and friendliness made me feel like I was staying with my own family. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere in a spacious and impeccably clean house, while their thoughtful gesture of picking me up and guiding me to their home through the narrow city entrance was truly appreciated.

My family and I spent an amazing time in Štanjel which is a beautiful and ancient small town. The apartment where we stayed provided us with everything we needed, especially a terrasse with a barbecue to prepare fish with friends was highly appreciated.
The place was as described, very cozy, warm and well reformed. It is situated in the middle of nowhere, it is suitable for those who are looking for solitude with no disturbing, far from civilisation. It has nice views, large garden with small exterior barbecue area (beware, in the hot summertimes, it is not allowed to make open fire).
Super nice place and people. The room is clean and very comfortable. Bathroom is a bit small, but ok. We had 6 couse dinner in the evening and it was delicious. Gaja, her family and team run the castle and the rooms and they do a fantastic job.
Breakfast was also good and more than enough.
We come back for sure ans bring friends.
The house is ideally located in a quiet place with beautiful landscape around. It is very close to all main sightseeing such as the coast, the caves, the vineyard, it is perfect to rest and with children. There are a lot of English and French books as well as game. Thanks for the bow.
Location is great if you have a car and you are prepare to spend some time in the car to get yourself to some "tourists" places (Lipica, Terst, Postojna Cave, etc.). The house itself is REALY nice, old building with sould, very tastefully and carefully renovated. Everything you need is there, even dishwasher, washing machine or bow for children:) If you are francophone, you will appreciate the library in the living room. It´s a hidden pearl. Hopefully we will come back again.
