The location, right on the expansive river and part of the Munktell Museum complex is hard to beat. The staff were all friendly, engaging and helpful, especially larger-than-life Angelo in the restaurant. Half board as part of summer tariffs is great and convenient, as there are no other restaurants within two blocks of the hotel. The rooms are spacious with lovely high ceilings and big windows that open. The bathrooms are a good size. The outside seating at the restaurant is fabulous—it overlooks the lake and is a perfect place to unwind in good weather. I felt very safe as a solo traveller, as it’s a good family-friendly hotel.

I loved that there was a bathtub and a fan cos I am always warm. The placement was amazing, and the girl working there was so nice and helpfull.

Location on Björnön, Västerås, is fantastic. 10 min from city and out on an island. Green, lushy, beaches, sport activities to rent like canoe and bikes. Fishing from anywhere and tracks if you like to walk or run. I've been at Björnön Café several summers and it is a perfect resort for a night or even as for me, two weeks.
Frösåker G&CC is situated in Västerås, 21 km from Angso Castle, and has a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.
