The host did not receive my emails to advise we had found the place. As such, he bent over backwards to contact me to ensure we arrived safely - even texting me his son's number because he was struggling with signal. For a an absentee host - this was above and beyond, and really caring. The place itself had great unexpected perks - a covered space in the courtyard with a bench to sit at, a ping pong table and football table. The location is good - within walking distance to the Citadel.

Surprisingly cozy, well appointed and with a super friendly staff. The room was large and had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast nice setup was awaiting for us at the same table we chose for dinner the previous evening. Countless nice touches of attention seasoned our stay. The location deserves a mention of excellent also.

Friendly welcome (house-made welcome drinks; parking arrangement and assistance in the very busy city center). A small and quiet family run hotel. Breakfast was not included but still served: freshly baked croissants, jam, butter, choice of fruits, the best quality coffee, hot milk... etc. - All together it was more than a "normal" breakfast in many hotels in France, for example.
