We loved everything about the place and the surrounding. What a peaceful oase! We looked for a place between Lissabon and Porto where we can experience the Douro Valley for a few days and this place met all our wishes and expectations. You DO need a car though.
We’ve been welcomed by a lovely owner Emanuele which owns also a bakery close by. That’s where the warm bread each morning for breakfast came from. And…they make the most delicious Pastel de Nata! If you look for a peaceful place, look no further.

The room was very spacious. I liked that you can turn the shades up and down while lying in bed.
The host was very nice. The location is beautiful. Breakfast was oke for me. It was possible to boil eggs yourself, never seen that before in a hotel buffet😉.

Very quiet and calm ambiance. Clean house and beautiful views from the windows. The swimming pool was amazing too.

Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
This hotel is half step from definite three stars stays, and in some details it’s even better. Minor upgrades needed like bathroom handle repaired and wastebasket changed to modern one but in general our stay was awesome. Morning menu is not of countless variety of choice, but all you basically need for breakfast was offered and what more important for family with kids — everything was fresh, tasty and of the perfect quality.
