The guide book Monique prepared for the visitors is an excellent piece of art, giving hints and suggestions for how to use the apartment, what to do in the nearby area, and the must-to-visit places on the whole island! Perfect place! Black cabins are furnitured all stuff such as cutleries, dishes etc. And magazines about The Azores with tips, trails, attractions. Also There was usefull new jacuzzi, we used it after trails and it was simple and didn't matter which weather was there around.

What a lovely stay and a great location. Convenient to Sete Cidades & Mosteiros. Only 35 minutes to the airport. We only spent one night in Nomad Nest but wished we could have stayed more. The owner was so gracious. Breakfast (extra) in the Grand House was absolutely delicious!! Entry & kitchen were on the first floor. Bedroom & bathroom were upstairs. Bed was incredibly comfy. We loved the special touches and the history of the property. The owner had lots of helpful info in the kitchen… restaurant, hike, tour… suggestions. WiFi worked great. There was a desk in the bedroom.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Country Suite of beautiful Villa Várzea for 6 nights, and I cannot recommend it enough. The Villa is comprised of two hundred-year-old buildings with a great history, as they were once owned by one of the first doctors on the island. I loved how the design of the spacious interiors still reflects such history, yet without compromising on modern needs. Together with the very quiet and peaceful location of the small village of Várzea, this combination allows for a very relaxing experience that is hard to find elsewhere. All this I could have mostly guessed by reading the description of the house online. What I could not have guessed is that the house is run by lovely locals, some of whom I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with, such as the sweetest receptionist Catarina, Rita, Filomena and the owner Monique, who happens to be the great-granddaughter of the aforementioned physician. In the room, there is also a booklet full of suggested locations to visit, with some interesting descriptions of the history of Villa Várzea and its village. On my last day, I also tried the optional breakfast, which was delicious and included local food.
