We loved the country side setting in the middle of the vineyard. The stone cottages were all modern renovated comfortable places to stay with nice facilities. The delivery of the breakfast basket and fresh bread daily was lovely. We enjoyed our stay very much. Jose spoke perfect English and made us feel welcome. If I could evaluate them with a higher grade than only 10, I would. The structure of the house is cozy, beautiful, clean, silent with only nature’s sounds (from the nearby river and leaves) the swimming pool area is charming, the restaurant is amazing (we had breakfast and dinner and it was a fantastic experience) and the couple who manage the place and cook is so kind and helpful! It’s a must to go back! 🥰

Very close to railway station on the legendary Douro line - the river is reached in just 10 mins. This means are car not necessary (though warning nearest supermarket is an uphill trek!) The house is in a beautiful setting with the pool being the centrepiece. Appreciated the heating on the cold autumn evenings.
