Very spacious and quiet, unique cottage type apartment. We enjoyed the dinners prepared by Frenanda and her sister. And of course the vinho verde prepared on the estate. We walked around the estate, enjoyed grapes off the vine, vistas of the Douro, the family dogs and donkey. The garden is beautiful, all organic and used to prepare our dinners.

This was one of the finest places we’ve ever been! The staff is fantastic, the location is literally perfect! The food was wonderful. Only complaint was the beds were a little too firm for our tastes. Also for light sleepers the train coming through a couple times a night might be a problem. But all the other wonderful factors more than made up for any comfort with the beds or sound at night. We had one of the greatest time of our lives there. We absolutely recommend!!!

We had a fabulous time - the house and it's facilities are excellent. It was an added bonus that there is now a dishwasher, which wasn't in the listing when I booked. Very useful for 4 of us! The pool was wonderful for warm afternoons and the view is breath-taking. Rafael, Marta and Antonio were genuinely kind - picking us up from the station, showing us the bees and taking us canoeing - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much.

Cosimiro’s place is an absolutely fantastic place with the most incredible views of the Duoro Valley. He and his wife were incredibly kind and helpful, and even prepared a super sweet welcome lunch for us, Port, wine and all! The apartment is massive and had everything we needed for a short stay in The Valley. Would return every time!
