It was very clean. It had basics for cooking (oil, salt), pans and utensils. Wi-fi worked fined. Nice view. Plenty of blankets. Powerful shower (but only enough hot water for 2 short showers, if you are more ppl you might have to wait a bit).

This home was the perfect place to use as a base to explore the Peneda-Gerês National Park. The house was very clean and exactly as described in the photos. Wonderfully designed with a blend of Portuguese and Macau design influences, it felt like staying in a well cared for family home. Everything worked as expected. A supermarket chain only a short 2-3 minutes drive away in nearby Vieira do Minho for all your grocery needs to make home cooked meals after long days of hiking the beautiful national park. And the location meant a perfect quiet night's rest to properly recharge. The host was also incredibly friendly and accommodating. I wish I could have stayed longer!

WOW!! If you are even thinking about booking Casa do Penedo, just do it. The scenery is amazing, the house is huge with all the comforts of home and a unique collection of art. About 30 minutes drive to the village of Geres. The kayaks were fun on the river but boy the current was tough, and we loved spending lounge time in the pool after a day of sightseeing nearby villages or hiking. We grilled every night and dined al fresco at the large table (even beautiful table clothes provided) and enjoyed our morning coffee on the veranda with the most beautiful mountain and river views. We hardly saw anyone during our stay and it was like we had the entire mountain to ourselves. Can't wait to go back!
