Rooms are extremely clean and the woman at the front desk is very friendly. The view of the river is nice and the hot spring is wonderful.

The house is located in a rural farming village with many vineyards, orchards, and flowers blooming all around. The host, Alfredo, was very kind and met us to explain all aspects of the house. The pool area and the views were highlights of this property. Alfredo left us with pastries, fresh strawberries, eggs, beer, and wine to use during our stay. The house was much bigger than we anticipated and, traveling as a couple, we didn't use many of the areas. We were able to figure out the TV and how to access our Netflix and YouTube channels since the weather was not ideal and we opted to stay in quite a bit. The living and bedroom areas do require going up and down stairs with luggage, not a problem for us 60-somethings traveling light. The house is on a narrow cobblestone street and one must be cautious about the traffic. We were thankful for the choice of bedrooms and that we chose one in the back of the house away from the street. The mattress was a bit hard for our liking, but that is a matter of preference. Water pressure and shower facilities are all great by American standards, as was the soap provided. Kitchen has everything one needs and is in top condition.
Povoa Dao (Near São Gemil)

The overall property is just beautiful. The property is filled with lush green garden's, flowers, grape vines, trees. The pool is very well kept and nice temperature in the summer. The wifi in our chalet was about 15 mb/s up and down which is good enough if you need to work remote. I also appreciated the breakfast food that was dropped off at our chalet every morning.

The staff was super, The feel of this hotel is old school, in the best possible way, properly maintained with well trained and friendly helpful employees. Large rooms. Would definitely stay here again.. oh wait, we did.. ended up staying for a week! The grounds & pool are really nice, great for a decompression after business meetings. Nice to be greeted with a welcoming smile upon returning each day.

Right on the N2 bike trail, absolutely amazing staff, delicious food, comfortable accomodation. Would recommend to anyone, we had the best stay!

The property was everything that the host had described in his listing and more! The breakfast that he brought to our doorstep at 8 o’clock in the morning was nothing short of unbelievably outstanding!

What a gem! Idyllic setting overlooking an olive grove but close to town. Super clean, large room with lots of windows. Great breakfast spread. For the price, a super deal. I will stay again if I return to the area.
