We wish we could have stayed longer! Natalia & Mario are the sweetest hosts and gave us such a warm welcome to their beautiful home! We very much regretted that we hadn’t booked a longer stay. The attention to detail and coziness of the house, the peacefulness and privacy of the garden, the smell of cut grass, trees and roses offer such rest and comfort. The location is perfect for exploring the villages of the area (Marvao, Castell do Vide, Portalegre..) or to make some of the many nature walks. The breakfast is just amazing: every morning they bring fresh bread that is left at the door, together with the homemade jam, sausages, free range eggs…the experience has been marvellous and we will return for another bit of heaven.

It was a really beautiful and outstanding experience, the owners are super friendly and helpful. The Appartement is great, all brand new and very comfortable, very clean and the whole surroundings just great. We will definitely come back , and this place is absolutely recommendable. The hospitality was amazing, the concept of the hotel is amazing and the honors can make amazing things with that "slowly"😊 and always without losing the contact and the friendship with the guests, using the rest days and the frame. You can do great things and improve your retreat that your space for itself have, that you created of course. Not missing your rooms so confortable and the nature surrender. Thank you for everything! The hosts, Sandra and Erick, and all the animals, specially Ben, the cat is very friendly. The pool is amazing, there's a lot of places to be around the pool. The view and the nature surrounding the house. The quiet nights, it's great to sleep and relax. There's a lot of places to go nearby.

Check-in/out with Sonia was easy and she was very welcoming. We really appreciated her kind gifts of bread, chorizo, jams and red wine - all of which were delicious. It is a lovely house with everything you need to self-cater. It has a fabulous outdoor area with lots of seating, a swimming pool with loungers and a BBQ. The location is very scenic and ideal to visit Marväo and Castelo de Vide. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

The building said wow! as soon as you walked in. Interesting design inside and a well appointed interior. Sunshine and a swimming pool - what's not to like!

We stayed at Quinta d'Abegoa's apartment, Casa do Souto, which is very cosy and ideal for two people. Everything is really well thought out so the apartment felt bigger than it actually was. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The outside space is beautiful - we loved sitting out, listening to the birds and the bells from the sheep, while enjoying the views of the both the castle and over towards the mountains and Spain. We made the most of being able to walk to restaurants in Marvao (although it is uphill all the way!) but we also cooked at the property - the kitchen is tiny but is very well-equipped and has everything you need to self-cater. Our host, Rosa, looked after us extremely well, bringing us breakfast every day, and nothing was too much trouble. We love the area around Marvao and will definitely return for another stay at Casa do Souto.
