A unique piece of Portuguese history situated right next to the cathedral within the old walls of Guarda. A sympathetically restored property retaining all its charm with modern amenities. Delightful Portuguese Dona greeted us to explain everything. Note that she only speaks Portuguese, which wasn't a problem to us. It's just great fun(genuinely)for those who don't. Beautiful room throughout superbly decorated. Very comfortable beds and modern bathroom with quality separate shower. Plentiful breakfast with homemade produce. When you arrive park in the courtyard, climb the stone steps and ring the bell to get service. It was a privilege to stay here.
Set in Guarda, Hostel S. Miguel FitNCare features a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Very relaxing after a day of driving. Great swimming pool and lovely grounds walk. We loved playing pool in the evenings. The honour bar was fun and lots of excellent wines to choose from. Patricia was so friendly and helpful.
Absolutely stunning what a fabulous conversion I absolutely loved it. I cannot praise the lovely lady that was running it highly enough. She was happy, friendly, funny and so helpful an absolute joy to be looked after by her. 👍🏻😁
It is a wonderful mansion house surrounded by gardens, olive trees and mountains. The historical stone house, the swimming pool and the absolute peace are invaluable. Patricia is extremely welcoming and both the staff and the location really child friendly. Exceptional breakfast too!!
We stayed in the Superior Chalet, which is a bit further away from the main house. This was perfect, because we could bbq and our kids played outside after a long drive. The chalet is decorated beautifully to the smallest detail and has stunning mountain views. We got great directions from the hostess and every query was responded to very timely.
