A fantastic place to stay for a night or two on top of the mountains to get away from it all. The chalet was great, clean, slept really well, and had everything we needed, aircon was a welcomed relief in the 40 degree heat. My wife had a medical emergency on our way to the Luna and had to spend the night in the local hospital. She was not released until after 3pm, the staff not only allowed us a very late check out, but was in constant contact with the hospital for me as I know zero Portuguese. Everyone was so friendly and helpful that we are hoping to come back for some cycling training.

We had a long stay with a 5 month old baby and it was amazing. Babies and children can use both swimming pools if using swim pants/diepers. All staff (reception, dinning room) is super friendly and helped out every way they could. The hotel manager greeted most guests daily and made sure everything was ok. The hotel and gardens are beautiful and well kept and the rooms very comfortable. Amazing view. Very good breakfast.

We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at this hotel and we were extremely satisfied! The hotel is situated on a mountainside, offering breathtaking views of the valley. There is a large beautiful pool in the courtyard. The rooms are lovely and spacious, with views of the mountains and the city below. They provide everything you need, including storage cabinets, a comfortable king-sized bed, a refrigerator, a television, a safe, a hairdryer, a makeup mirror, and plenty of outlets to charge all your gadgets. The breakfasts were delicious, with fresh fruits and local cheeses. For dinner, we were offered traditional Portuguese dishes and wonderful desserts. We were also very pleased with the hotel staff - they were extremely helpful and pleasant. We will definitely come back to this hotel again.
