A very nice house in a very quiet location in the countryside. Very generously built and well furnished. The hostess makes a lot of effort, the housekeeper is very, very present and helpful. At breakfast we met other interesting guests. A swimming pool is available and we have also used the next day. A great experience.

The house is in a cute mountain village but very private - the terrace overlooks a small valley. It has been restored with an amazing attention to detail and many of the original elements are still there. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable. And don't miss the restored bathtub in one of the bedrooms! We arrived after walking the Paiva Pathways and crossing the bridge - it was the perfect place to recover by sitting on the lawn and staring at the view. Easy to find, friendly greeting upon arrival by Nuno. Check in was easy, clean room, ac worked great, water pressure in shower great, nice breakfast included. Nuno also was extremely helpful in explaining directions and parking for local sites….. 516 Arouca Suspension Bridge was especially helpful. Nuno was outstanding, as was all the staff we encountered.
