The whole casa and the room itslef were very clean and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that for minimum pay I get that comfort and cleanliness. The host was caring and attentive, though not speaking English. They responded positively on our late check-in. There is nothing spectacular about the casa's location; yet it is a perfect overnight stop at the end of Northern Portugal or Douro Valley day trip - a secluded refuge from the bustling Porto, which is just 20 minutes away.

Very warm welcome of our hosts in this beautiful family-owned castle with modern comfort. The location is very convenient to go to Porto airport. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were exceptional in terms of variety, quantity and quality of the products. We also enjoyed the medieval games available in the garden. We had a very warm welcome by the owner and his son. He even took us to the supermarket upon arrival as we didn't have a car. The location is beautiful with the fruit trees and waterfalls in the river. The kids loved to play in the river and catch some fish and lobsters.
