Lovely traditional house set in beautiful grounds with an amazing outdoor living space and pool. Lots of space to spread out into different seating areas on balconies and terrace. Beautiful gardens with views over the valley towards Braga. Air con in the bedrooms (which we didn't need most of the week) but was very useful when temperature topped 32 degrees. All very comfortable and easy. Cafe Juventude in Parada recommended for food and coffee nearby (excellent burgers which suited our teenager) and lovely people (owner speaks good English and very helpful) also kitten!
Barcelos (Near Parada de Gatim)

The staff was incredibly kind and polite, the place was wonderful, very clean, great food and the white wine was also very good.

We all loved this property as a group of 15 adults and children. The owners could not do enough to help us, be it with things we needed or help and advice. They even allowed us to host our whole dance troupe, a group 45 adults and children. The property, even with that many people there didn't feel small at all. We loved how it was split up into smaller apartments to allow us all our own space to, as well as be able to come together in the outdoors communal kitchen area. The local area is just stunning and the view amazing at night. I would highly recommend this property to any large group wishing for a fantastic time away. Room- spacious, bright, comfie bed, tasteful decor, stone wall in the room, spacious bathroom, lil balcony to our particular room The grounds are lovely- good sized pool. Lemon trees everywhere. Every morning you awake to roosters crowing , dogs barking and birds tweeting. Sunrise is beautiful ! We were given a lil tour of their personal veggie garden, chicken coop etc. breakfast was in a nice room: scrambled eggs if wanted made from their eggs, buns, ham, cheese, fruits, yogurts, juice, coffee , tea. 8:30-10am The host was super friendly,helpful and kind.
