WOW!! If you are even thinking about booking Casa do Penedo, just do it. The scenery is amazing, the house is huge with all the comforts of home and a unique collection of art. About 30 minutes drive to the village of Geres. The kayaks were fun on the river but boy the current was tough, and we loved spending lounge time in the pool after a day of sightseeing nearby villages or hiking. We grilled every night and dined al fresco at the large table (even beautiful table clothes provided) and enjoyed our morning coffee on the veranda with the most beautiful mountain and river views. We hardly saw anyone during our stay and it was like we had the entire mountain to ourselves. Can't wait to go back!
Valdosende (Near Pandoses)

Ana's place is just gorgeous. So peaceful and comfortable. All sorts of little nooks and crannies where you can find privacy (loved the corn storage house!) My husband and I brought our family here who are visiting and their room was very comfortable as well. Breakfast is not to be missed!

Beautiful house in a wonderful location, Narcisa and her family made us feel really at home! Exceptional garden, very well cared for; lovely pool; and the house itself feels like a home! It was very clean. It had basics for cooking (oil, salt), pans and utensils. Wi-fi worked fined. Nice view. Plenty of blankets. Powerful shower (but only enough hot water for 2 short showers, if you are more ppl you might have to wait a bit).
