Ines and Jose Maria were the most gracious hosts! The estate has been in the same family since the 17th century and it was lovely learning its history. We were greeted every morning to breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries and eggs. The town boasts some wonderful restaurants and a fantastic local micro-winery

The house is very beautiful, the interior and the furniture lets you immerse in the history of the place. However, it was well equipped with all the facilities, needed in the modern life (air conditioning in each room, coffee machine, good WiFi). The host was super friendly and always ready to help. it was private and peaceful. the place was very clean and equipped with everything you need for a big family group. the hosts were excellent and willing to do anything for us. Highly recommend this lovely Villa. we will take many happy memories of family time together at Casa de Alventela.
