This was a very spacious house with a beautiful view at the sea. We got the house that was furthest away, which made it very private and romantic. We were able to cook every meal in the kitchen and had some good coffee with a filter grind. We were also able to wash our clothes at the reception, just be aware of the opening hours to use the washing machine. They provide washing detergent, which was great. The shower is incredible and the bed was fine. There were some insects like ants and mosquitos, but that didn't bother us. We had a great stay and actually got engaged here! Absolutely recommend.

The Hideaway is an amazing location with ocean views where you can see sunrise and sunset. It is very close to Jardim do Mar which is an incredible village right on the ocean. It is very well connect to the rest of the island, where you can get there from Funchal in 45 minutes and to the North side of the island very quickly. The house design is amazing. It is a renovated stone cottage that is now a mix of modern and traditional design. The space was very clean, there were suggestions for things to do on the island, the host was very accommodating and communicative. One of my favorite stays in Madeira!

The view from the back yard was amazing. There were lounge chairs and a table to enjoy meals outdoors. You could see the sea from the back yard. There was close access to a grocery store.

Was in a beautiful area with amazing views. The hotel was clean. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Was initially disappointed there was no AC in the room but realized you didn’t need it - just kept the balcony door open and the breeze was adequate. Food was good, desserts were great.

We had a great time at Casa da Pitanga, it’s a perfect place for a couple or a small family. We had everything we needed and the check in was easy, also the communication with the host was good. We highly recommend the place!!
