The best parts of staying here is how peaceful and restful the property itself is, the wonderful pool, our fabulous host, and the great location. You're right at the beginning of the Duoro Valley, and there's beautiful drives in every direction. Definitely take the train to Pinhyo and have lunch there. Right at the train station there is a fabulous fine tasting place that is a must stop.

Breakfast was excellent. I loved all the variety of food presented. The location was perfect for a restful stay. To be able to walk around the property on paths & go to a beautiful creek was amazing. I moved to Portugal in January & really enjoyed my stay in the mountains & easy & close to go to eat lunch & dinner.

The place is a quiet retreat in the valley with the ease to access nearby wineries and restaurants. Slept with the windows open and had no noise or issue. The place itself is quite large and well decorated. The view is stunning from the patio and perfect for breakfast, dinner, and digestives. Grocery store 10 mins away by car and four minutes to dining options. Hosts were super communicative and welcoming. Could ask them anything. Would stay again!

We should have stayed longer. 2 nigh was not enough to properly appreciate the location and service this hotel offered. Beautiful location, with views to the river, excellent food, comfortable rooms and bed, quiet relaxation. Massage also available. Staff is more than happy to assist anything you might need. Leisurely drive away from fantastic wineries. I would highly recommend it.
