The place is absolutely wonderful and I wish we had stayed longer than just one night to enjoy better que quietness in the pool. We had a small wine tasting and we were very well received for the amazing staff, all very kind. The views are to die for, the wine is delicious and it was the best breakfast in our whole trip by far. They totally got my heart.

The Vila was perfectly equipped with everything you need. Everything was exactly as described! Great Coffee machine coming with several capsules. Very nice pool (cold water but we entered as I was hot day) with stunning view of the river!!! Woke up early to see the river with the morning fog on top!!! I communicated with the owners via email and they respond quite fast and gave me tips re close restaurants and super. We met them afterwards (leaving on the next gouse) and they were so friendly and make sure nothing is missing. They are preparing Wine which we bought and is excellent. Pls note that Folgosa is a small place so in case you need to buy something, find supermarket on the way - Nearest supermakets are located in Peso da Régua or Armamar. Also not too many close restaurants around. We ate at local restaurant named Douro Jovem (6 min from the Vila) which was nice but I fully recommend to do barbeque in the perfect BBQ place they have there

Everything was clean, welcoming and great. The staff saved my life by letting me borrow a flat iron for my dress that was all wrinkled and I had a wedding the next day. I really advise this hotel you won’t regret it.

We were made so welcome by Manuel as soon as we arrived. It’s a beautiful, traditional family home The breakfast was delicious and the service very friendly. The attention to detail was exceptional, the gardens are beautiful, we loved the honesty bar by the pool and the welcome drink. The location was ideal for exploring the stunning Douro valley.

Huge and fantastic house in the center of the city. The house is just amazing, with 4 big and confortable rooms, a huge living room and meals room, a small tv room and a big kitchen. The 2 bathroons are very very good. The views are very nice, the house is quiet and very near the center of the city. Keep in mind that the house is in the higher part of town, so when returning from the river side you will need to walk uphill... but it is not that much and it is well worth it. Its a fantastic house.

As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
A very warm welcome on arrival from Antonio, in person
The property was just as described and well set up.
Antonio was very attentive to a small issue we had with internet connectivity.
We had a car so it was easy access to every part of the Douro Valley from here
Definitely one of most beautiful places I have ever seen. Big old house made of stones surrounded by flowers, winyards and gardens. Breathtaking wiew of Douro and the hills covered by winyards. The place is extremely quiet and friendly. Everything was clean and very cosy. Very good breakfast made partially from their own products. You can buy wine, which is also very good. Nobody speaks English, but you can easily communicate as the host family is very friendly.
This guest house is very large and lots of room to move about. Not much English is spoken by family, but they had a daughter visiting who could speak English well. The breakfast was very good and guests were each served a cheese omelet along with lots of bread choices, fruits, cheeses and meats. View of the Douro River from our room was very lovely.
Just beautiful. Awesome great old farmhouse and so much detail and uniqueness in every room. Wonderful view of river - also lovely swimming pool on a veranda with view over the valley and river. Free port in our room on arrival. Bar fridge with wine and cooldrink and so affordable. Breakfast GREAT!
The property is located in a small village in front of D'ouro river and surrounding by vineyards which inclusive is part of the property. A quick walk in the patio offers you the best picks you can get. The view for the hills, the river and vines is astonishing and juts the experience of sitting on the pool with this vibe made my trip worthly. The breakfast is delicious and I believe its homemade food. Also, I recommend to try their wine produced by the family that you will find in the room frigde.
Location is great, views of river and vines excellent, good breakfast, good home made wine and port. The swimming pool clean with views too and above all it is a family run property with so many old articfacts and furniture. .
we liked the scenic views at breakfast, the rooms were very traditional and comfortable, the on-site activities, the free tour that was included and walks around the property, kids loved the petanque
