If you're walking the Camino, treat yourself. This place is fantastic. From the moment we arrived we were spoilt. From luxury bath robes,luxurious pool and most importantly, special hosts. Anna was a delight, serving us a glass of chilled wine as we swam in the pool. Antiono and his lovely wife Jessica cooked an amazing traditional portugese meal and spoke to us about the history of their beautiful home. Definitely the best accommodation we had on the Camino. This is a gorgeous historic hotel/family home and grounds. Super clean, elegant, well maintained, spacious hotel and rooms. Beautiful gardens and pool. Interesting history, and attentive staff. Delicious full breakfast served in the dining room.

We really appreciated our stay at Casa do Retiro. We loved the house style, the garden, the swimming-pool. The surrounds and hills are magnificient. The house is very well equiped : laundry, dishes, BBQ... All the tips given about the places to visit and the facilities around were usefull. Lourenço is very helpfull.
