A Padaria Farmhouse is one of my favorite accommodations in Portugal, it was my second time there, but definitely not the last one: amazing place, so beautiful, comfy and the room is amazing.

Beautiful little hotel - only six rooms. More of a boutique hotel since the service and the whole experience was luxurious. The view over Douro River and the valley was exceptional. Eating breakfast or dinner outside looking over the river was very nice. Being able to stay by the pool for an extra time after checking out was lovely.
Quinta de Cabanas Douro Country House offers accommodation in Penha Longa, close to Douro River. This guest house has a seasonal outdoor and an indoor pool, both salt water.

We were very lucky to book this stay last minute. Lots of dates are gone long in advance.
We traveled as a family of three and really enjoyed every moment of ours stay.
Hospitality is at the top level! Rui is very friendly and welcoming host.
The Quinta is located in amazingly beautiful and picturesque place with nice views around.
Do book the dinner, it was absolutely fabulous, the dinner exceeded our expectations and it is certainly worth the price asked.
Lots of nice facilities, two pools, a sauna, a gym and a paddle tennis court and beautiful surroundings.
We would like to come back!

The house is as beautiful, if not more than the pictures. Everything is immaculate, there is not a spot of dust anywhere.
The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. We booked a couple of trips while we were ther and the host made sure we had a good price and were not charged for pick up.
The breakfast was extremely generous. Items were left in the fridge for us to use at our leisure and the bread was delivered fresh and left on the gate by the baker, also generous and we couldn't get through it. They even topped up a few breakfast items midweek and it was again very, very generous.
The rooms are beautiful but perhaps the beds are not large enough for a couple. The sheets and towels are crisp and clean and could be changed mid-week.
The kitchen has great facilities and the BBQ came with coal and lighters and equipment so it was very easy to get started and we enjoyed the beautiful outdoor cooking area and BBQ with view on the fantastic garden very much.
The garden is wonderful, we did not use the volleball net as it was a little hot for us but it was a nice idea.
Overall the house and garden are beautiful and very pleasant to stay in.
