Tania is great. In tricky circumstances, we felt really welcome. This was a very comfortable space for us as the only guests that night.

- Great location in the middle of nowhere in nature (11 min by car from the nearest village) - Amazing pool and relax area (the way to the pool is rocky and difficult to access for people with difficulties) - Great breakfast - Close to Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo (we had dinner at Taverna da Matilde, one of the best restaurants we've ever been to, we had Naco de Vitela com cogumelos and Farinheiro a Brás) - WiFi indoors and outdoors - Room with a balcony and 2 chairs - Mini fridge in the room - Amazing place if you like silence and waking up in the middle of nature - We got a complementary wine bottle at checkout

Saborearia Guesthouse, hotel in Castelo Rodrigo

A truly wonderful place to stay! Maria has a beautifully appointed apartment and as her daughter speaks English, she was very helpful with explaining all the necessary instructions. A few games and puzzles were provided for entertainment if tv is not your thing. Close to everything in town and their recommendation of restaurants was great. Parking was right outside the front door (in a very safe town).

On our arrival, the hosts gave us a warm welcome to their small but cosy guest house. We had booked a specific room, but we were let to choose a room of our choice. Everything was perfectly fine, very clean and well taken care of. The host was very helpful if we had any questions and made every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The mattresses were very good and the hotel is located in a very quiet area. In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. In short: everything was great! If we come near Pinhel again, we will definitely choose this accommodation again!

Old house with very modern interior. Comfortable room with good shower, though not a lot of view because it is at the lower side of the house. Very helpful owners who recommended a restaurant in town and booked it for us (Taverna da Mathilda). Fun to explore the castle and there is a good café by the entrance gate.
