Easily reached, some 2 km from the exit (Lamego) of the highway A24. Good location to visit the Douro valley (Lamego, Regua, Pinhao) where you can visit many vineyards and take a boat on the Douro. Porto is about an hour and a half's ride away by car. The house is clean and rather large with two floors. The lower floor has a kitchen with all necessary utensils, four electric cooking plates and an oven. There's a large table there and also a coach and tv. In front there's a terrace with a smaller table again where you can have breakfast under the roof of grape vines growing through the pergola. The house is rather high up the hills of Britiande and you have a splendid view on the surrounding area. Just in front of the terrace there's an orchard and vegetables garden. You may walk through this orchard, but there's no grass, so with kids they can't easily play outside just in front of the house. Upstairs there is a small bathroom with a small bath, but clean and comfortably. Also two bedrooms, one master bedroom for the parents and then a slightly smaller one with two separate beds for the kids. Both bedrooms are large enough with enough cupboards. Then there's also a room with a television and coach again, which is very nice in the evening. Next to that room you can go outside on the first floor terrace. In the morning the sun is shining right there so that room during the day is probably too hot, but you can sit downstairs where it is always colder. The house is clean and all basic necessary items are available, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The swimming pool is, as you may have read in other reviews, not next to the house, but actually some 100 metres away, next to the house of the owner's sister. It's available exclusively for the vacation house, so you're all alone there and, given that it is slightly uphill from the house, has an even better view.

This was a house of great character, stylishly furnished with antique and vintage items, in a quiet vineyard setting. Each bedroom has an en-suite shower room, the kitchen is fine for preparing breakfast and light meals and the small dining terrace has a nice view over the garden water feature. We were gifted some wine by our hosts and we bought more from their adjoining shop - their champagne-style sparkling wine was especially good! Really enjoyed our stay.

We vacationed with a group of friends in this wonderful house (was warm inside, this is important!) The location is incredible, the view of the mountains, you can go for a walk in the forest. Even in the rain it is beautiful there. The house is authentic, it feels like it has a history. Very friendly owner of the house, cooked us a big delicious breakfast! I highly recommend this place

Everything ! From the warm welcome by the owner, to living in this nice, well preserved old stone-house, with private parking at the doorstep ! The house had 2 nice bed-rooms, a big living room, and a spcious kitchen with all necessary equipment. The house had a nice balcony with panorama view over surrounding grapefields, the vally below, and the hills in the horison. The beds were excellent and so was the breakfast. We should have stayed here forever !
