The hosts really are the highlight of this guest house. They are extremely nice and always looking to help and to receive us well. Joao and Fatima are great and Daniel, their son is very knowledgeable of wine agriculture and the Douro region. He also has a good level of English which helped us a lot when we asked for more complex questions/required a bit more information. The house is extremely cozy, clean and spacious. It has a nice dining/living room, a well equipped kitchen and it is very well furnished overall. We also used the barbecue and the terrasse for all the meals of our stay - a very nice addition to the house because it works just fine with all the kinds of weather. With all the service and facilities we got, it is definitely an extremely cheap venue We hope to come back soon and enjoy this magical place again!

The room was very tastefully decorated. The bed is super comfortable. The shower was excellent, lovely hot water. The room we stayed in had two large windows with a beautiful view. The location for us was perfect for our sightseeing trips and it was always a pleasure to come back to a comfortable, spacious, clean room.

Staff was so helpful and friendly. The apartment amenities were all you could ask for. The pool and property were stunning. It was a quiet location. Mini bar with local was amazing and great value. The breakfast was very very nice. I would recommend walking the trails around the property. Numerous fruit trees and vast orchard with history pathways. Great hike. Parking was ample and shaded.

Beautiful location. Well maintained, character filled property. Rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Relaxing around the pool was wonderful each afternoon. The freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast each morning was delicious.
