The property is beautiful, the hotel is unique in so many aspects, and the staff is exceptional! We had a very unfortunate issue that had absolutely nothing to do with the hotel, we contacted local authorities who were unable to provide us with the support we needed, we decided to contact the hotel management to see if they could assist us and they went above and beyond to anything anyone could have ever expected. Thank you very much to the hotel Director - Ms. Susana and the staff she gathered to help us in a very difficult moment. They provided us with an exceptional overall experience during our stay and, because of this we will certainly return to the hotel and recommend it to all our close friends and family.

We cannot recommend Casa Catita enough, from the expectional hosts, who went above and beyond, especially poor Vitor who waited for 2 hours for us in the airport, due to lost luggage 🙈 to the most beautiful home and a view that will stay in my mind forever. The pool was a great size and we all really enjoyed the games room and our 5 year loved the large playroom with so many toys to keep him entertained. Great memories were made, and we will definitely be back. We highly recommend going down to the river, its breathtaking. Thank you so much Vitor and Luisa for sharing your home with us xxx

This is a unique property, attached to a church (would love to know the history) Lots of rooms, but it seemed we were the only people there. Tina met us there and showed us around the building and made us breakfast in the morning. Obrigada!

Below kitchen, dining room, another bedroom (for 1), another small bathroom and a large terrace with place to sit, eat (including barbecue) with a full view on Douro river and surrounding area At a lower level a room with wash machine. Kitchen full equipped, large fridge, wash machine Private area to park a medium size car available Joao, the owner, waited for us also if we arrived very late; he prepared for us a welcome with a bottle of wine and beer in the fridge, figs and a cake and was very helpful with suggestion on what to visit, where to eat (restaurant)...

Everything was perfect. The house is truly as good as it looks in the photos. Tip: the Mosteiro train station is a 5 minute drive. Great way to go to Pinhao or Porto.
