Absolutely fantastic location in the Parque Terra Nostra. As guests of the hotel you have access to the park and the thermal pool 24/7. Whilst it doesn't look very inviting, the thermal pool is a must/highlight. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good. We did not use the Spa or indoor pool so cannot comment. Parking is available at the front of the hotel (make sure you drive through the first barrier you arrive at). Is it expensive to stay here - yes! Is it worth it - definitely! Our favourite hotel during our trip to San Miguel. Highly recommended!

It’s really super charming place to stay. It’s a house with a soul, with nice interior and amazing backyard. There were so many vintage items in the house, like a small museum to stay in :) It has all the equipment needed to cook and grill. And it was nice to stay outside and enjoy the view to the ocean.
The island is small and this place is easy to reach. So leave your doubts that is far from Ponta Delgada ;)

Everything ! This place is perfect and has everything you need. Well equipped (even a wash machine which is really nice when you are visiting the islands for 2 weeks like us!) and also well located (parque terra nostra is just next to the building !). Absolutely loved it! We will definitely book again if we come back !

This was my third time staying at the guesthouse, as always my stay was lovely. The stay here is different than staying in a hotel since it’s a house you are staying in. It’s just much more personal and you can get in touch with the other guests and Sandra, the amazing owner and her family. The house has an amazing view of the ocean at the front and make sure you do the short hike to the old village and the super-short-but-hard hike to the cliffs for some great kodak-moments!
My family really enjoyed our stay at Pérola Achadense Guesthouse. The home is lovely and it was lively with guests. The host Sandra is very kind, helpful and sweet to my son who adored her. You really can't beat the value for an stay with an ocean view and close to the places to see. Transportation is essential for the island so ask Sandra about potential options. We had a great time!
The host was friendly and they also had a basketball hoop which the kids enjoyed😉
The host also invited us to the village party which was amaizing!!! There is an ATM close to the guesthouse which was very handy for cash to pay the taxi.
