We had a fantastic stay at Oak Residency. The host Tahir is amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. We visited during winter and there was hot water and heating. Tahir was also very helpful in organising our trips to other parts of Northern Pakistan and is very knowledgeable in what to see and do in the area. He also joined us on a couple of our trips which we enjoyed as much as him! The chef Bakar also cooks great evening meals if you wish to eat in the hotel dining area.

Mr Yaqoob and Mr Habib have been very friendly and hospitable, along with the rest of the staff. They have also provided us with all kinds of information for the trek to Fairy Meadows/Nanga Parbat Basecamp, as well as transport to Hunza for onward travel. If we come back to Gilgit, we will definitely come again! :)
