My stay at Maitai Lapita was an absolute highlight of my French Polynesia trip. The hotel and bungalows are beautiful and have a very authentic feeling to them. The little beach and restaurant have the best views of sunset over Raiatea and breakfast was great. What made is most amazing was the extremely hospitable staff, especially Vaea, who was extremely helpful and organized very special activities for me. Her kindness and warmth will stay in my memory and I would love to come back one day :)

The host, Gwenn, was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He took the time to explain all of the activities available in the area (the walk into town, via the beach, stopping to swim and snorkel is wonderful! Also, the yacht club for sunset happy hour from 5-6pm is not to be missed), and helped me book a scooter. It was also a very easy 8-10 min walk from the airport!
For the pet lovers, there was also an adorable pet dog and cat!
