Location has a boat dock, and an outside captain that can do snorkerling trips. It also has a little beach area where you can swim. The hotel has it's own diving boats and tours, so you can book with them directly for trips. There's an unused bar right on the water, so you can enjoy your drinks there. Room was clean, comfortable, and had enough beds for all of us. Sitting on the porch, you can relax listening to the waves and cool off from the ocean breeze. Staff was very friendly, and the managers speak English. The dining area has breakfast and dinner options (didn't stay long enough to find out about lunch). Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. There's also another very good restaurant about 3-5 minutes walking distance away if you prefer to go there instead. I believe there's a police station nearby, so we were not concerned about safety/security. I liked that the managers gave you the option of late checkout when nobody is booked on your departure date, they're very accomodating.

Casa Congo is a unique place in Portobello. It has a small gallery, and an amazing patio that faces the bay. Rooms were super clean and well equipped, bathroom has hot water, and staff is super friendly. Make sure to boom their sea views rooms (reina congo and rey congo) as they’re absolutely worth it!
