We came off season (September) and were the only clients in the camp. We became an upgraded room in Safari Desert Camp and had the camp for ourselves. The service was amazing, a lot of food, private camel ride to see the sunset in dunes and peaceful star gazing at night. Very magical experience indeed.

We had the chalet for 2 with the indoor pool. It was a blast. Comfortable and nice; the cooking area and the grill was indoor, cosy atmosphere and near to the desert and the wadi. They arange nice trips for you, if you like. You only have to ask and you get what you asked for. funny animals, like asian turkeys, observing you through the window, while you are cooking. Perfect Internet, so we could get some work done too.
We were happy with our stay, the dunes behind the camp were super fun to explore and the tent was pretty impressive. We experienced heavy rainstorm while we were there which was pretty wild. The tents are strong, no worries there! The food was fine and vegetarian friendly.
The Dome is an awesome place to spend a night or 2, it’s extremely well equipped and looks amazing in the night with all the lights. Food was freshly cooked and delivered, very nice. Host family were lovely people and very helpful.
The place is great, simple, clean and with detail. You can really relax and enjoy the atmosphere in the desert.
Our guide was perfect, he answered all our questions, he was funny, helpful and interested in everyone. Thanks so much for your hospitality, we really had a wonderful time.
The food was also good and the ginger tea was my little highlight 😉
100% recommend staying at the nomadic desert camp if you are looking for a more traditional and personal place.
Very nice location in the desert, perfectly organized, friendly people at the office, a good driver for the transfer, Fourad took excellent care of us in the camp. Tent was beautiful, beds were good. Achmed, the owner , and his family)was kind and helpful. The two other guest were good company. We choose this camp because we liked to be further in the desert and wanted to enjoy the views, the darkness at night and the silence. Overall we enjoyed it a lot!

This was exactly what we were looking for, a small quiet camp that could comfortably accommodate a family of 4 in one tent. Food was delicious and staff were great. We loved our stay in the desert. The highlight of our trip to Oman!
great location just off the highway in close proximity to Wadi Bani Khalid. we had one of the suites as we are a family of 4. lovely bedroom and bathroom. swimming pool inside the apartment was brilliant, kids loved it.
Very nice camp, not too big so it feels really familial. Abdullah and his family make you feel really welcome. I also liked how they treat their animals, the camels are really part of the family and in a very good condition. All too often the animals are just treated as tourist attraction and not in good shape, that is definitely not the case here. We even had the chance to pet a 4 day old baby camel!
we travel with 2 kids and since the outdoor pool is closed the owner offered to upgrade us to family chatlet with private indoor pool. lovely. we had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious. really good place to relax and visit Wadi Bani Khalib.
