As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
I stayed with my 3 children aged 5, 8 & 10. We loved ibis, beds were really comfortable. We added breakfast in our stay and that was the best decision I made, so many options available so everyone was full ready for the day ahead. Staff are lovely, the cleaners are so friendly. I could not fault a thing. I asked the kids what was their favorite part of our holiday and they said the hotel. Very happy family.
We were flying in with two very small children in the morning for an afternoon funeral. We were worried what to do about lunchtime naps but the hotel were very obliging and let us have an early check-in. This was an absolute lifesaver! The location was perfect with an entrance on lampton quay right next to Farmers.
We are a family of three, with pre-schooler age kid. Safe and family friendly hotel. Clean and comfortable bed. We love the breakfast buffet. We are highly recommending the hotel.
Great service, room was tidy, accomodating, friendly staff and a great breakfast served post Beervana dbl sessions... what more could we ask for, we really enjoyed the stay.
Also noted that they have a great room dedicated to young travellers fun and play - our kids have grown now but that area would have been absolutely ideal when we were traveling as a younger family.
Great location. We wanted to go to Te Papa and were able to leave our car there after checkout so we didnt need to pay additional for parking. Great facilities but my kids ate sausage rolls and no dustpan for me to clean up. I hate leaving mess for others to clean. Very family friendly
Good location. Walking distant to many shops and eatery. Clean and spacious hotel for family with a teenager and a kid. Would recommend for traveller with family. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would be a perfect stay if the elevator works well. Overall satisfied with our stay and services rendered.
This motel saved us from a long journey at the last minute! We drove down from the North Island for hours and our ferry was delayed with 3 small children so I quickly booked and they had one room left. Price was reasonable and the room was so clean and cosy plus really spacious. The swimming pool was great for our big family to jump in after a long day aswell. The owner was so kind and helpful. Beautiful stay will definitely return!
