This is a large, sunny, very clean house with gorgeous views of the beach, within a 5 minute walk of a grocery store. The beds were super comfortable and the lounge is really large, with plenty of room for a big family - the house has 2 double beds and 3 singles. It has excellent heating too, and a wide deck overlooking the ocean. Located 15-20 mins drive north of Thames. We will definitely stay here again.

Great spot at the back of Te Mata located right on the river with its own little sandy beach section which is perfect for swimming. Our toddler loved the trampoline and playground and the chickens roaming around were a big hit. The cabin was comfortable and quiet amongst nature, just make sure you keep the windows/flyscreens closed or be prepared for plenty of mosquitoes overnight!

Manie and his wife are exceptional. They accommodated our needs and are very welcoming. It is a great place for families with young children. Access to a playground, picnic & BBQ area and the kayaks was awesome and our kids had great pleasure using these facilities at no extra cost.
