Baton Country Escape, hotel in Stanley Brook

Featuring barbecue facilities, Baton Country Escape offers accommodation in Thorpe. The property has river and garden views.

The Baton Country Escape was perfect to meet our family's needs. Sue had the fire going, the house very cosy for us, she was warm, inviting & lovely to chat with too. The things Sue has supplied in this home are amazing! Anything that you could wish for is provided. The board games & colouring-in supplies were a real bonus! The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was great & the home was so spacious as well as spotless too. The place really is better than the photos can show! We would recommend the Baton Country Escape to others, without hesitation, & we would love to stay again sometime ... for longer so as to really appreciate the place & the setting more! Thanks so much Sue :-)

The Last Straw Cottage Nelson, hotel in Stanley Brook

Offering a terrace and garden view, The Last Straw Cottage Nelson is set in Brightwater, 27 km from Christ Church Cathedral, Nelson and 28 km from Trafalgar Park.

The experience with this beautiful space starts before you get in the door. Greeted by rolling hills and lush trees with the soothing sounds of bird song is the best welcome. The house is absolutely stunning. Equipped with absolutely everything you need to make your stay a comfortable one. Caroline is the icing on the cake, she is lovely and always made sure we had everything we needed. We were greeted with slices of cake waiting for a cuppa, in the fridge were home made compote, jam, relish. Fresh eggs from the chookies and fresh bread ready for our breakfast. I hope to return again soon. Thank you Caroline for making this gorgeous space available for us. I was fortunate to snap some photos of the beautiful night sky. I feel so blessed.

Orinoco Country Retreat, hotel in Stanley Brook

Orinoco Country Retreat is set in Ngatimoti. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi.

Beautiful quirky wee cottage in a lovely rural location. It was great to disconnect from the rat race - just what the doctor ordered! The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we loved the small galley kitchen. The sunroom had a great view and was warm and toasty during the day. There was no log burner which would have been nice but there were plenty of heaters to keep warm including electric blankets. We stayed mid-winter so there was a hard frost every night. However, it was great watching the meteorite shower as there was no light pollution and the night sky was awesome! Our host Mike came to say hello and welcomed us to the cottage which was nice as it was my special birthday weekend. He also respected our privacy. TV and internet reception were superb and there was plenty of hot water for a relaxing bath in the decent sized bathtub. I would recommend this cottage as a peaceful retreat to relax and reset.

We loved everything about our stay. Under floor heating, the views, spacious, very clean, peaceful, the owners were very accommodating. Beautifully decorated, curtains and pictures on the wall are all really good. Cleaning good. The towels are lovely and thick and soft.
