Boasting garden views, Boathouse Apartments features accommodation with patio, around 600 metres from Picton Memorial Park Beach. The property has sea and mountain views, and is 600 metres from Shelley Beach. The house was newly renovated and just beautifully done. We had just about anything we could have wanted in the house, private parking, space for all four of us. Since we had four, we had both floors. The downstairs patio was nice, but the upstairs balcony was a dream! Perfect for sitting and enjoying the view. A shirt walk over the scenic marina bridge takes you right to the shops and restaurants. We wished we were staying more than two nights!

Loved the location and the very comfortable family vibe. Plenty of activities for the kids on sunny days. Would definitely come back here again. Rooms are very well sized and has everything you would need. Fantastic value for money in a quiet area just out of the town center 👌

A variety of accommodation options to suit all traveller's amd families. Although we didn't use them as to cold there seemed to be plenty of other facilities to keep kids busy. Swimming pool, playground (needs updating) tramp, games room (in process of being updated). Bbq area, even a pizza oven 😁. Amazing showers in room, great water pressure.

The size of the apartment (165m2) was great for us - we were 3 generations of family including 4 month old baby. All of central Picton is within easy walking distance. Good selection of cafes nearby. The view's pretty good although the apartments above would be outstanding. This one is first floor so limited view of the harbour and Sounds. Happily we were there for family gathering ... not the views.

Location was good for the Queen Charlotte walk. Good family size room, nice playground for the kids. Queen size bed was excellent but bunks squeaky as you would expect.

Great location close to Picton ferry and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us (family with young kids). Great service. Also a very good breakfast buffet included in our rate, which was much appreciated. Although the rooms have clearly seen better days, this hotel was a good option for one night before catching to ferry to Wellington the next morning.

Loved everything about Firkins Retreat. You can tell Brad and family/friends really thought about the design and layout. The mod con’s were a fun and convenient element. Cannot fault, we loved our stay!

After hours access was easy. Room was modern and very clean. I am not going to give the Motel a bad rap for inconsiderate people but if you are booking this venue thinking it's a motel, remember that there are backpackers there as well and there is still very little consideration for people trying to sleep after travelling all day. Kids up at 11.25 pm talking at the top of their voice. Parents should be more considerate and teach their children proper etiquette when not at home.

Beautiful character home! Located away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to eateries and the bay. Eva, our host, was very hospitable. She made us feel at home the moment we arrived. My little one year old even could try his hand on feeding and patting "Cappuccino" (cat, Eva'spet). He was completely stoked 🙌. I had not anticipated it to be child friendly, but it sure exceeded my expectations. Exquisite wooden toys, books, and lawn for a leisure stay. Highly recommend this place to couples and family with children.
