Great for those travelling as a family or group - cabin we were in had 3 bunks. Cabin also next to apple tree which produced very tasty apples - best eaten when picked on a cold evening. Communal kitchen and eating area were fine. Beautiful views of the night sky due to elevation and lack of light pollution.
the bathrooms were clean so that was great. The kitchen sometimes gets a little funny smell but it was ok. The view is the most amazing that it worth everything
Great location - close to Mount Cook but affordable accomodation. Facilities were great - kitchen area, bathrooms. Dorm room was a great size and I was lucky enough to have the room to myself (helps travelling in the off-season).
Staff were lovely and it was a beautiful view from the rooms.
I liked that there was a private sink and toilet in our unit. The setting is amazing and the place feels clean and very family friendly. Fitted us perfectly and we will definitely go back.
Right from the initial booking, the service was exceptional, with speedy friendly responses to my emails. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the facilities really clean and well placed.
All the staff were so warm, friendly and accommodating. Big shout out to Caroline who found us a bag of rice when the teenager put her phone in water.
The view from our room was breath taking.
The heli-hike was fantastic, made better under the friendly knowledgeable guidance of Matt.
