Well equipped apartment, easy to park and a short walk into town. Unit is warm and comfortable, and we would definitely return. We had no direct contact with the hosts, but did receive a message advising that if we had any problems they would be happy to help - we had no problems at all. It is a great place to stay.

Stupendous Hospitality, Rooms are amazingly good, the bed the shower are top class. The shower best and heatpump is strong. The room was kept so Cosy and warm on our arrival, I wonder how many hotels do that, I believe hardly any. Strongly recommend this place. Will visit again for sure.

As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Communication was easy, instructions were very clear, and the hosts were very responsive and made us feel very welcome. The House of Hazel - The McKinnon is a beautiful home, perfect for a family holiday or for a romantic getaway in the Wairarapa. Very comfortable place to relax, with plenty of space. Spa pool was just what we needed too. Internal access garage made unpacking and packing the car easy. We highly recommend this spot as a great place to stay in the Wairarapa. Melissa and John are amazing hosts.
We had SUCH a great time. Awesome place for a family to stay, plenty of beds, a pool, BBQ area and trampoline. Close to everything. Clean and excellent layout. A perfect base close to town and all things Wairarapa.

Friendly host, easy communication and easy check-in/check-out. We're big fans of Wairarapa holidays, and this was a short walk to Carterton Main Street with cafes, supermarket, park/playground etc. A spacious, classic family bach, along with a great selection of board games, and a spa bath the kids enjoyed.
Extremely welcoming family. Enjoyed the facilities, advice and suggestions. Lovable children without being too invasive . Was honoured to feel at home.
Excellent Motel in Carterton. We were visiting for a family reunion but had to leave a day earlier than planned because of Cyclone Gabrielle. The owner Barry contacted me today and has refunded us for the night we left which we thought was great. The Motel is spotless with comfortable beds and was equipped with everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. Great welcome at reception from Barry when we arrived. Would recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Carterton. We will be back again one day for sure.
