Lovely location with a unique character. Friendly hosts, who live next door and clear instructions. Free and convenient parking 2 minutes walk from the front door. The kitchen is well equiped.
Vollenhove is a cute little city. There is ample shopping within a five minute walk of the house. The place is excellent for exploring the wider surroundings. Zwolle is a great city at about a half hour drive. There are also lots of other nice destinations nearby, like Kampen, Urk, Lemmer, and all kinds of beautiful watery landscapes (rivers, IJsselmeer, polderlandscapes, peat extractions etc.) giving you a historic crash course in how-to-build-the-netherlands. Amsterdam is only slightly over an hour away too.

We were on a bike tour of north eastern Netherlands. This was our favorite overnight stop from 8 overnights.
The room was large, with a lovely view of the river and a great balcony that we sat out on, It was really a very comfortable room.
We ate dinner there and again it was great. What a lovely location. All of the staff were so helpful.
Bike storage was great. A locked room with charging points.
Breakfast was fantastic. A very large selection of food in the buffet and a pleasent bright room to sit in.

Friendly service, simple but nicely decorated room, comfortable. We had a dinner in nearby Blokzijl and decided to spend the night here, just a very short drive away (could also bike or take a longer walk). The surroundings were lovely! Peaceful green and water. Would be a great place to rent a boat. We reserved breakfast onsite which was alright - some standard continental breakfast type offerings.

The house was very interesting, with an old school style, yet very confortable. The room was spacious with a very big bed, perfect for 2 people. It had a coffe machine in the room with some free coffee, which was very pleasant. Everything was clean and tidy.
