What a great place to stay, host were friendly, great location, no noisy traffic, weather was windy and raining but cabin inside warm, cosy and quiet, comfortable beds, breakfast was excellent.

The owner was very friendly and the apartment very large. The house is located in a quiet location. We were particularly surprised by the sociable breakfast, which we had not expected. Although it was not a buffet, it was more than we could eat and the choice was enormous. There was also fresh fruit, which is no longer the standard even in larger houses and hotels. My family and I were very enthusiastic.

The B&B was beautiful, had all the comforts you could ask for and very clean. The hosts were really nice people too and after having told them about what was missing, they immediately made sure to get some of these items (like herbs to cook with, olive oil and a cloth to clean the kitchen with).
The location was great for us too. It was nice and quiet, close to some areas you could walk your dog in and only a 15-20 min drive to the city of Groningen.

There is also a separate bedroom and a bathroom which looks like it may be wheelchair friendly. The staff is very friendly. The seal centre is almost next door. There is a lovely restaurant across the road. Just a note about the area: the grocery store is quite far if you are walking. There is a wonderful information folder listing many useful places.
Hotel Marenland Winsum is located in Winsum, only 1 km from the train station. It offers guest rooms with free WiFi. Each room here will provide you with cable TV, a CD player and a seating area.
In Hotel Waddengenot you will spend the night in a historical building in the centre of the tourist village Pieterburen.

The place is simple but nice. We got a spacious apartment, perfect for us since we were traveling with our dog. The seal rescue center is very close and there are other activities to do in the area. The village is quiet and we had a good night sleep in complete silence.
