Staff were amazing, food was also amazing. Snorkelling over the reef was like being in a huge aquarium, just magic. We had an overwater villa, so comfortable, clean and loved waking up to our water view and coffee on the balcony.

It was the best vacation of our lives, we have never met such a level of hospitality anywhere. The accommodation was a simple guest house that satisfied all our needs. It was clean, if we asked, they cleaned it at any time. The breakfast and dinner were incredibly delicious and authentic, we could barely eat half of them, except for the fish, because it was always sold out:) Wamp is a very attentive host, he helped us with everything, we went on great trips and were able to participate a little in the life of the locals. Anyone who wants to experience the real Maldivian feeling should visit Himandhoo and Black Pearl is definitely the best guest house there!

Featuring uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean from private sun decks, each air-conditioned villa features designer furniture and flat-screen TV. Villas provide luxury and convenience with a minibar and tea/coffee making facilities.

We spent 12 days at the resort, the first half at the beach villa, which I did a full review on, the the second at the water villa. For those struggling to decide here is a comparison: 1. If you are more into the beach, and love the view of sand, or prefer to have ur own back yard, an outdoor shower under the coconut trees, then pick the beach villa. However, you can’t see the full beach from the room, and would have to take a few steps to access the beach full view, blocked by the fence of trees designed for privacy I guess. 2. If you would like to wake up to the view of the ocean from your bed, take a few steps down and snorkel from ur villa, or spend the night enjoying the night stars while listing to the sound of the ocean, then u should go for the water villa. (Note: there is no excessive noise to prevent you from sleeping. Just perfect calming sound u can shun by closing the access door to the deck. To us if we come back, we will certainly pick the water villa. The fact u can climb down to the reef, is both amazing and convenient. The resort has lots of water activity options many of them are free. For example kayaking, water peddling, SUPs are all free. The lack of motor sports was a plus to us, as the resort was both calming and natural. There is also on site tennis court, volley ball, mini football, table tennis, chess, pool, baby football, board games etc... At night live music/DJ and shisha. The spa is also amazing. U can take ur massage or have a yoga class with an ocean view. Alizee Restuarant has Michelin quality to is. Finally, we were lucky to get the house tour. The sustainability model is amazing. The island generates its own electricity, desalinates its water, purifies its sewage, and recycles its waste.

The design of the hotel is very clean, functional and tasteful. The house reef is also very good, with efforts to increase the coral on the reef. there are a few activities available and the watersports center. the food at the buffets was always alternating and of good quality. Other options were available for a la carte restaurants but we never felt the need to go. The dive center is also extremely good with fun and professional instructors!
