MAHAWELI Reach Hotel is situated overlooking the MAHAWELI river. It is a breathtakingly beautiful location. It’s one of the oldest hotels in Kandy. The architecture is stunning. The bedrooms were extremely spacious and comfortable with beautiful views from the balcony. The staff at MAHAWELI Reach were exceptional! Attentive, polite and helpful. The Buffet spread was delicious! A wonderful mix of Western and Asian. I want to say to those who expect food from your country. Enjoy the food served in the country that you visit instead of complaining. I have never been served Sri Lankan food when I visit another country. Especially in an All inclusive Hotel. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a memorable one.

That was the best sleep-over after a week travelling. Percy and Diloo (and Nikki, the German shepherd) are the loveliest hosts. We’ve been welcomed like a family. The house and garden are beautiful, it’s super clean. The room is big enough, we were free to enter the owners’ part of the house. Percy can give you tips of places to visit.
