I would describe my stay at Single Trees Yala as more of an immersive experience than a hotel stay, which I think is why most people would book a treehouse stay near a national park anyways! The staff couldn't do enough for you, they served me an enormous dinner when I arrived (although granted there was only one option) and had a lovely breakfast laid out for me when I returned from my safari tour.
The views from the treehouse were stunning, it definitely felt as if you were immersed in your environment. The lack of wifi wasn't even an issue because it's well stated before booking but the hosts will happily hotspot you if you need anything urgent. Overall it was a mixed experience but I've detailed some factors in the improvements section which I feel like if addressed, would make this more of an 8/10 stay rather than a 4.
Only a 5-minute drive from the famous Yala National Park is Cinnamon Wild Yala. It boasts chalets with private balconies and free Wi-Fi. It features an outdoor pool and a restaurant.

Breakfast spread was awesome, the aunties by the thosai and appam counters were lovely, happy to oblige all our requests. The pool was nice to chill at, and the staffs were amazing. One of them even randomly said - did you see the elephant?
We quickly followed him and saw "short tail" the resident elephant chomping away. The staffs stayed with us the whole time and kept us safe. One staff even followed us to the beach and the lake side to ensure tht we're safe
We missed the leopard sighting tho :(
we saw so many random animals at the resort while walking to the restaurant, beautiful views of water buffaloes, crocodiles and peacocks chilling together at the lake. truly a great experience

Koragaha Lodge in Yala Park was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, Hadley and his team made us feel incredibly welcome. The lodge itself was beautiful, with luxurious, clean rooms and stunning grounds full of life. One of the highlights was arriving to see a troop of monkeys feasting on mangoes right from the trees - a wonderful start to our stay.
Wildlife was abundant, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the various birds and animals while relaxing by the pool. We also booked a full-day safari through the hotel, which turned out to be perfect. The jeep and driver were excellent, and we opted to have a naturalist (Sami) join us - a choice we’d highly recommend. His expertise was invaluable, as he spotted animals we never would have seen on our own and shared fascinating insights throughout the day. We felt incredibly lucky to witness two leopards, including one on the hunt, which led to some amazing photos and videos.
The culinary experience was another highlight, with the lodge’s chef providing delicious meals throughout our two-night stay. The only regret was not staying longer! Koragaha Lodge is truly a gem, combining luxury with an intimate connection to nature. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Yala.

Amazing facilities, it really felt like you were on a safari adventure! It was exceptionally clean and the staff even made the effort to check the room for mosquitos and snakes etc before bed. It has a lovely pool. Yakaduru has the rock on site which is accessible to walk up for sunset and look over Yala. The staff set up a special traditional dance performance for us which was great to immerse ourselves in the culture. Additionally, the evening jungle walk (included in the price) was great, the guide was fantastic but unfortunately we did not catch his name to give him a special mention. I would absoloutley recommend this stay. It was easy to contact the team via whatsapp to arrange any additional activities.
We had the jeep to ourselves on the safari and as we booked in advance, Yakaduru arranged priority entrance tickets to the park so we did not have to wait long and were some of the first in Yala. Waruda was kind enough to send the pictures he captured on his camera from our safari over to us!
It was great to talk to Nishatha about his experience as a ranger. He was increadibly knowledgable about all things nature. It is clear the whole team are committed to nature preservation.
We were lucky enough to see 2 leopards and lots of other amazing wildlife.

It is a very cool resort but have in mind that it is in the middle of the jungle and you can see all kinds of bugs in your room. Dinner by the bonfire was so pretty and the food was very good.

The place is beautiful, tucked away in the national park it was a unique and fun place to stay. The staff were absolutely amazing hosts ensuring we were taken care of and well fed. The beds were clean and comfy with the unique experience of being able to sleep semi-outdoors in the shared dorm.
This is the perfect place to slow down your life and connect with nature.
The bungalow is so relax and bussing with life. Wildlife is stunning.
Not to mention the amazing and friendly staff over there, almost like a family. A great way to discover Sri Lankan culture and taste delicious food.
