The view from our room was fantastic. The bathroom facilities are new, everything works very good, hot water exists. The swimming pool is clean enough. The manager and staff is very polite and kind. Breakfast was very good, we asked to prepare traditional local one. Tea and coffee on request.

This was the most memorable place in our 3 week Sri Lanka trip. It is a very unique place (crossing through a stream to get there, and steep steps about the place), and as such it wouldn't suit everyone, but it doesn't try to. But you will find peace, and the sense of immersion in a jungle and welcome isolation. The construction of the rooms is amazing and inventive, everything is simple but done with incredible taste, and although things are basic, everything works and was spotlessly clean (which is no mean feat in such a cut-off place). Karina the owner was an inspiring person to talk to; what she has achieved here is amazing.

Absolut Nature, absolut beautiful, absolut incredible place to be! We stayed here for 4 days and had an incredible time. The family cares a lot for you and you feel home! Also the food in the accomodation is very delicious and good! When you love nature and you want to wake up with a view of a shining sunrise over the jungel you should stay here! We are very grateful gor our stay and hope to come back one day!

Absolutely beautiful property. Landed here as a result of cutting another unsatisfactory hotel stay short. Wish we'd booked here for several days. Gorgeous setting, fantastic cottage lodging on a rice paddy field. Kind, attentive family and excellent foods for breakfast and dinner. The green enivronment and the super helpful and cheerful staff giving useful details on trsvelling to Ella. The owner even get up very early to send me to the bus stand to catch the 6am bus to Deniyaya. I booked a dorm bed but was upgraded to a double room for free. Thanks! The breakfast is of first class quality especially the Sri Lanka meal set. The Sinharaja forest guide was happy to show me many creatures and insects during the tour. Love the cinnamon sticks very much and hope hostel owner will conduct workshop to explain this treasured spice to guests.
