Amazing location, next to the beach and surrounded by nature. The hotel is peaceful, simple and authentic, with hippie vibes. The host, Babou, is the kindest person ever!! He always makes sure you have everything you need. He welcomed us with tea on the beach at sunset, it was magical. They have a restaurant, we had the grilled fish it was incredibly delicious! We were lucky to be the only tourists there because it was low season, and we really felt like we were lost in paradise.

Nice location - just few steps from the beach.
Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. AC was working great, hot water system also.
Room has protection against insects, so nothing gets inside the room.
Owner is super helpful, showed us the hotel, beach and surrounding area. He can also arrange the safari for you.
There is a restaruant in the hotel serving tasty seafood (we had fresh lobsters).
Definitely a great spot! Fully recommended for everyone!

We were a bit surprised by Yala Chalets and we write our criticism in the spirit of hoping this charming facility can approve. To start we liked that the staffed bent over backwards to meet our needs, such as an early arrival and overnight laundry. The grounds of the small hotel are charming and if you are looking for quiet you will find it. A lovely breakfast was served by the attentive woman on duty at the time (possibly named Shanti?).
Only a 5-minute drive from the famous Yala National Park is Cinnamon Wild Yala. It boasts chalets with private balconies and free Wi-Fi. It features an outdoor pool and a restaurant.

Breakfast spread was awesome, the aunties by the thosai and appam counters were lovely, happy to oblige all our requests. The pool was nice to chill at, and the staffs were amazing. One of them even randomly said - did you see the elephant?
We quickly followed him and saw "short tail" the resident elephant chomping away. The staffs stayed with us the whole time and kept us safe. One staff even followed us to the beach and the lake side to ensure tht we're safe
We missed the leopard sighting tho :(
we saw so many random animals at the resort while walking to the restaurant, beautiful views of water buffaloes, crocodiles and peacocks chilling together at the lake. truly a great experience

Koragaha Lodge in Yala Park was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, Hadley and his team made us feel incredibly welcome. The lodge itself was beautiful, with luxurious, clean rooms and stunning grounds full of life. One of the highlights was arriving to see a troop of monkeys feasting on mangoes right from the trees - a wonderful start to our stay.
Wildlife was abundant, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the various birds and animals while relaxing by the pool. We also booked a full-day safari through the hotel, which turned out to be perfect. The jeep and driver were excellent, and we opted to have a naturalist (Sami) join us - a choice we’d highly recommend. His expertise was invaluable, as he spotted animals we never would have seen on our own and shared fascinating insights throughout the day. We felt incredibly lucky to witness two leopards, including one on the hunt, which led to some amazing photos and videos.
The culinary experience was another highlight, with the lodge’s chef providing delicious meals throughout our two-night stay. The only regret was not staying longer! Koragaha Lodge is truly a gem, combining luxury with an intimate connection to nature. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Yala.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
We enjoyed the swimming pool and got good use out of it. There is a very lovely atmosphere with all the lights on at night and the beautiful plants and trees around. The family that lives there is so kind and helpful, and we will definitely book to stay here again.
The family living there was very nice. We were the only guests at that time and Shaluka, the owner even made us a very nice dinner. They organized a safari to Yala, which was lead by an englisch speaking competend driver (2people 4hours 16000R+Yala tickets). We also got a packed lunch from Shaluka and we got to use the pool after our Safari.
We enjoyed it very much
Family-managed small boutique hotel with comfortable and quiet rooms.
Convenient location, in particular, if you plan to do a safari at the Yala National Park.
Good internet.
Very nice swimming pool and garden, very well decorated and maintained.
Helpful staff.
Very good breakfast and dinner.
The owner and chef, Mr. Shaluka, was an excellent host, who always tried to help and please us with our requests.
Incredibly friendly staff. Beautiful property. The kids loved the pool and enjoyed spotting the frogs and lizards darting around the place. They even found a snake (harmless) and spied a crocodile that lives by the lake. Lots of fireflies at night too so it felt magical. Great food too!
Lovley people.
Nice and warm welcome.
Shaluka and his family made our stay.
The master chef made sure that we had an awsome stay, cooked really good food for us every morgning/night, grilled fish to not forget! And really helpful with everything.
Room was very clean and the whole place was well orginized :)
Glad we choosed/found this place for our stay, close to safari.
We will def come back next time we visit Sri Lanka :)
If you are visiting Yala and want fab family run accommodation in a clean relaxing space then this is the place for you. The owner takes care of everything for you including booking safari, taxi and also cooking your meals. There is no reason to leave as the food is fab. The pool is great to relax in and super clean. Would deffo stay here again
Everything was amazing. It was super clean, organized, and excellent food. Loved all about the room, the bathroom was so nice compared to many in Sri Lanka, it was clean and spacious and the Wi-Fi works perfectly. The swimming pool is also very clean and pretty. The owners are a lovely family, and they really take care and arrange everything for you. It is one of the best places I have stayed in Sri Lanka.
Little simple house in the garden of the owner's house, who can also take you for the safari ride with his own car. If you prefer to experience the local life to staying in a sterile hotel, this is the right choice! The owner and his kids are very nice and friendly! We enjoyed our stay and the safari.
Verz nice family, the children of the owner are very friendly, we did a safari in the national park with the owner and even saw a leopard! he was super nice and also arranged a taxi to our next location, would recommend
