Small hotel with only 12 "beehives" meant it never felt crowded and the staff knew everyone. Pool was very nice and the views were amazing. Service, especially from Rani excellent. Food and drink good value for money

Wonderful Guesthouse a little bit outside of Haputale. The room has stunning views and the house is located just about 5minutes drive from Haputale railway. You can go on hikes and strolls from the house to the area and it is awesome. If you want to escape the packed and touristy playe Ella, you should definately go there.
Shan, the host, helps you to arrange everything you'd like to do according to your preference.
The breakfast was great and all the staff is very friendl and helpful.

We stayed here on our way to Ella whilst on a cycle tour. We had an exceptionally warm welcome and were given a fabulous meal in the evening - the best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka (and there’s been plenty!).
It’s a lovely peaceful spot and there was plenty of wildlife to see from the terrace.

Location is excellent as its in the jungle area. Very easy place to go for a natural bathing stream. Also to see the Non Perial estate upper division (excellent views from top of hills).This was our second occasion here. Three days period we were in fresh mind due to the location of this place.
After giving dry rations to host we can prepare good foods for all meals. Its a very good thing .For that we have to pay an extra payment. We will come back.

My family and I had a truly happy and memorable time staying at Hill Safari. The cosy, lodge-style hotel enjoys a spectacular location, high up in green, lush mountains. Eomal and his team were incredibly helpful and kind, making us feel very welcome. We were treated to great breakfast and dinner - tasty, local food - and Eomal gave us lots of suggestions for walks in the area. He also kindly collected us from the station and drove us up to Horton Plains. There are comfortable places to sit out in the beautifully-tended garden, and we enjoyed the wonderful views, and being so close to nature. It was an unforgettable end to our month in Sri Lanka, and we were very sad to leave!
