An amazing Sri Lankan food is a treat, after we walked a lot in the Horton Plains National Park. It also has a fire place. They have a tuk-tuk and a van for taking to nearby places. Beautiful Ohiya railway station is not far away. This is where the mind-blowing train route along Ella is there. Very friendly staff and nice view from anywhere in the hotel. It gives you the forest stay experience with all the necessary comfort. Nice hotel. Basic room, but the owners were really friendly and good. They made me a big dinner, arranged a Tuk Tuk to get to World’s End and gave me a packed lunch. Ohiya is also a nice location. Recommended if you’re there.

Stunning! the food, the view, their hospitality. It’s been the best place in the mountains for us. Lots of people go there to hike in Horton Plains but the host was right: the view from their terrace is even better. Regretting spending only one night on the site, we should have booked at least two:( Peaceful and quiet, but bear in mind that you might need warm clothes. Very good for hikes, and very cozy for doing nothing and enjoying nature.

A truly magical place, we had the most amazing stay. A unique small boutique hotel up in the mountains with stunning views, wonderful staff and delicious food. The manager, Eranda is so sincere and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. He took us on a walk to the waterfall in the grounds and we had a very informative talk about nature. Such a lovely man. I can't recommend Capoe House enough, it's the nicest place we have ever stayed.

We ended up paying a bit extra to upgrade our room. Large comfortable bed and pillows. Good spacious bathroom and shower with hot water. Use of a sitting area adjacent the room. We had a great Sri Lankan dinner with lots of different dishes as well. Good breakfast though spicy.

Convenient location close to the main road. Comfortable rooms with hot water showers. Most of the shops and restaurants were closed due to Covid situation but you can get almost anything from Belihuloya town. Best if you could get your stuff from Balangoda or Haputale towns.
