The Regal Rose Luxury Apartments far exceeded our expectations of what we have experienced in Sri Lanka so far. The hosts were so accommodating and welcoming. The tea on arrival was just what we needed. The breakfast was fantastic and catered exactly to our requirements. The water pressure was fantastic and the hot water was so hot. This accommodation is a real gem in Nuwara Eliya. The owner called us from Australia upon making the booking to check out requirements. This was by far the best stay we had in Sri Lanka (probably in my life), and we haven't even finished our trip yet! First and foremost, the staff, Krishna and Najvy (I'm probably spelling that wrong) made this experience exceptional. They were so helpful, caring, and genuine. Krishna gave us service that was over and beyond like anything we'd had before. He's also charming and so funny, so be ready to enjoy his wit. Najvy is both as brilliant a cook as he is a concierge. He introduced us to more Sri Lankan dishes than we had encountered in our first week, and he was eager to share items that we'd only be able to discover if we had lived in the country for an extended period of time. His recommendations for activities perfectly suited our limited time, and he helped arrange our transport which ensured that we paid fair rates. He even packed us a breakfast for the sunrise hike at Horton Plains, and Krishna served us coffee to get us going. In addition, the rooms and grounds were all cleaned meticulously and well maintained. In short, this place is reason enough to visit Nuwara Eliya, and will be on our list of destinations when we return.
